What about linen and towels?

We have provided a very comfortable bedroom and living area: fully furnished with a luxurious queen adjustable remote-controlled bed for ultimate TV/sunset viewing (better than any hotel), with premium linen and Bath Sheets. Sky pods also have a comfortable couch for two and a blackout blind if you feel like a sleep-in.

Is there heating and aircon?

Your pod has a reverse cycle heating and cooling system. It also has a beautiful cast iron Fireplace(not Sky Ships), a plant-based bio-fuel flame. Of course, this also comes with a first aid kit. fire extinguisher and fire blanket

Are the SkyPods environmentally friendly?

Our top priority when developing the SkyPods/Sky Ships was that they have as little impact on the environment as possible. Each pod is powered by a solar battery and a generator (as a backup if required). We use tank water: pure filtered Cape Otway rain - the best in the world. For added protection, a U.V. Filter is also attached to the kitchen sink's cold tap. We use refillable plastic containers stocked with Naked Press products to minimise single-use plastics. 100% Organic. Chemical, paraben and SLS free. Ingredients: filtered rainwater, potassium soap made from certified organic oils of sunflower, Olive and avocado, retained glycerin. Scented with 100% pure essential bergamot oil.

What is the difference between the two Sky Pods and the Sky Ships?

Pod 1 is closer to the ocean with uninterrupted views. Pod 2 is set slightly further back but still has great ocean views.

Sky Ships are slightly smaller and situated on the property's northern side with extensive views of the Otways and Southern ocean. They enjoy all of the luxuries that have made Sky Pods so popular.

We’re itching to explore - what is there to do?

Check out our Things to Do page for lots of activities in the area, some accessible by foot and others a short drive away. We have also provided two camping chairs located in the Pod back storage area if you’d like to stay nearby or go for a picnic.

What’s the weather like?

As the Sky Pods are situated on the top of a hill overlooking amazing views of the Shipwreck Coast, you may experience a variety of weather, including wet and /or windy conditions at times. As you look out at the beauty of a stormy or windy sea, rest assured your pod has been designed for all weather conditions, and you are snug and secure. Spare a thought for the ships that once spotted land at the Cape after weeks at sea and rejoice that you are on land.

During sunny weather, we recommend you pull the blinds down where the sun enters to keep the radiant heat out whether you are in or out for the day.

The reverse cycle heating and cooling should keep the pod at a comfortable temperature or utilise the cross ventilation by opening windows and/or doors.

What if we want to stay in? Is there anything to do?

Other than the incredible views, we think one of the best pod assets is the larger-than-life 100-inch projector screen, wireless projector with Chromecast and Bluetooth speaker. Free wifi and Chill Cape Otway style.

How many people can I bring?

Sky Pods are for two adults only. Not suitable for children or infants, and sorry - no pets as we are a wildlife refuge. Also, as Sky Pods are on private property, visitors are not allowed

Is Cape Otway safe?

While secluded and set far into nature, the property is safe. We just ask that you do not approach the wildlife for their safety and yours. Do not walk in long grass during summer as there may be snakes. It is not recommended to swim at Station beach

What if there’s an emergency?

In the event of an emergency or need to evacuate, please call Maxwell at 0417-599-805 or come to the main house, which is the emergency assembly area. The nearest hospital is located in Apollo Bay (25 minutes away).

Are pets allowed?
